About This Competition
CEYLON PHOTOGRAPHY & MODELING COMPETITION 2026

The primary objective of this competition is to recognize and celebrate the talents of Sri Lankan professional and amateur photographers and models, including creators who use smartphones, and to provide them with a platform to showcase their creativity at both national and international levels.
One Unified Competition
The CEYLON PHOTOGRAPHY & MODELING COMPETITION 2026 is conducted as one unified photography and modeling competition, bringing together photographers and creators using both professional cameras and smartphones.
Participants may submit eligible photographs captured using:
DSLR / Mirrorless / Medium Format Cameras
Smartphones / Mobile Cameras
Both camera types compete within the same common competition categories, subject to the applicable technical, originality, editing, and submission requirements.

The competition consists of 8 common categories, open to eligible photographs captured using either professional cameras or smartphones.

The camera or device used to capture an image does not determine its competition category. Instead, the category is determined by the subject, concept, and creative nature of the submitted photograph.
All eligible entries are evaluated according to the official competition rules and judging criteria.

Meet the Judges
Our panel is composed of established photographers and industry professionals from Sri Lanka and abroad. Judging is fully blind — the panel sees the image, not the entrant.

Competition Rules & Fair Play
A single, unified competition where DSLR, Mirrorless and Smartphone photographers compete side-by-side under identical judging criteria. Every entry — regardless of gear — is scored on creativity, composition, technical quality and story.
DSLR, Mirrorless and Mobile entries are judged by the same panel using the same scorecard — no separate tracks, no bias.
Judges score without seeing the photographer's name or camera model — only the image matters.

How We Protect Fair Play
Every entry goes through a layered verification pipeline to protect genuine photographers and disqualify stolen, AI-generated or manipulated work.
Camera, lens, ISO, shutter, aperture and capture time are extracted automatically from every file.
Winners in the DSLR category may be asked to submit the original RAW file for pixel-level comparison.
Every applicant signs a digital declaration at upload — false claims lead to permanent ban.
SHA-256 fingerprint of each file is stored to detect re-submissions and duplicate uploads.
Metadata anomalies, reused photos from the web, and AI-generated images are flagged automatically.
For portraits and people-centric work, a signed model release must accompany the entry.
Public Voting & Audit
Every public vote and comment is logged and audited. Duplicate votes, bot activity and manipulation attempts are automatically detected and removed before final results.
One vote per IP+device fingerprint. Automated bot detection removes suspicious voting patterns.
Final scores combine judge scoring with public engagement — with weights published in advance.
Sudden vote spikes from single sources are frozen and reviewed by our team before counting.
Winners are announced on our official channels with the verified score breakdown.
